Water for African Cities

Résumé: 
This book talk about the following aspect – why focus on water for African cities ? Because we have increasing water demande from cities, urban growth in water stress regions, cities sharing international river basins, threat to water quality and ecosystems etc. - Managing water for African cities such as water demand management, controlling water pollution and public awareness, information and education. The programme is currently being implemented in the seven demonstration cities: Abidjan, Accra, ADDIS ABABA, Dakar, Johannesburg, Lusaka and Nairobi. About each city, it talk about need to effectively manage ground water, actions, partners, Basin wide pollution control and effective water demand management water low and city pollutants, conservation and pollution control measures, public awareness campaign, etc
